Technical Hackathon - Introducing Starternity Hacks
For Internity Foundation, we exist to create an ecosystem of innovation and contribution. Since we started this initiative, we aimed at fulfilling this purpose, and we are doing internships, technical events, and meetups. And we see hackathon as a major event to inspire young minds and to imbibe a culture of creation in them, where they are solving pressing issues of our society using technology and continuously improving those solutions too. To accomplish this, we wanted to specialize ourselves in executing hackathons, we started with sponsoring a hackathon in JIIT Noida, it was a successful event for us, and we could see our potential to step in as an organizer. We took the next step in executing a remote hackathon in the midterm of our 45 Days Summer Internship and did it 3 times, successfully. After gaining experience from the above, we believe it is the right time to organize an offline technical hackathon and this will be a leap in our crusade of creating the Internity Ecosystem.

Proposed Themes for StarternityHacks 1.0
Theme for this Hackathon will be - “AGRIM BHARAT”: Advancing India
India, aims to give one opportunity to showcase one's skills for the advancement of the nation's growth. Though we have come too far in advancement in every field but still we are missing out on the fundamentals of growth of any nation. It is never too late to acknowledge, invent, innovate and create a new India for yourself, others and the upcoming generation which will be clean, digital and healthy.
In this age of entrepreneurship, some startups are working hard to counter the issues related to basic needs such as food, clothes, and a roof for shelter. Let’s come together and make India more advanced. We know that the hardest thing is to figure out how to start but it is not impossible. Let us make it!
1. Swachh Bharat
2. Digital India
3. Smart Lifestyle
Swachh Bharat
The old saying “Cleanliness is next to godliness”, we need to bring this saying back to the ears of people. Urban areas of India generate 1, 88,500 tonnes of municipal solid waste (68.8 million tonnes per year) and waste generation increases by 50 percent every year. More than 80 percent of this waste reaches open dumpsites causing public health issues, environmental degradation, and resultant climate change. Plastic and e-waste form the major chunk of this waste, with minimal facilities to take care of such environment degrading substances. You wonder how India is dealing with such a massive problem? So, what are we waiting for? The enthusiastic millennials can bring a lot of change. Yes! we need to find a solution to this problem. Take this problem as your own and get set to find the solution, bring innovative ideas in consonance with the ambition of Swachh Bharat.
Digital India
“I dream of a Digital India where access to information knows no barrier.”
- Shri Narendra Modi
A dream to make India digitalized so that if you are in any corner of India, you can access information, pay bills, communicate and what not. Like to make true any other dream, it’s also facing a lot of challenges like poor connectivity, Digital divide, slow infrastructure development, regulatory roadblock, threatening issues of cyber-attacks and leaks. You must be aware of 9 Pillars of Digital India:
1. Broadband Highways
2. Universal Access To Mobile Connectivity
3. Public Internet Access Programme
4. E-Governance: Reforming Government Through Technology
5. e-Kranti – Electronic Delivery of Services
6. Information For All
7. Electronics Manufacturing
8. IT For Jobs
9. Early Harvest Programmes.
Digital India is achievable but it has a set of challenges. Bring innovative ideas to make our India more Digitalized.
Smart Lifestyle
Making life easy is all we want. Having healthy food, being a fitness freak or getting Medicare solutions on time is all we want. But hold on friends! This is still a challenge for our country. one of the most critical needs today is access to good healthcare. Billions around the world, particularly people in the India subcontinent, struggle because they don’t get proper access to healthcare. Even those who have access have a sour experience.
We have apps that can take orders for food while sitting at home, book tickets and even book a cab. However, finding the right doctor is still troublesome, Patients' record are either maintained manually or if it is stored online, are often not accessible or understandable. Pharmacy apps are also available but they face delivery issues. A typical Indian lifestyle mainly faces obesity, Type II diabetes, Heart diseases, High blood pressure and Cancer. It’s now important to prevent and find a solution.
We are eager to see innovation in some of the following areas apart from the ideas you already have -
1) Preventive healthcare by using AI, accurately analyse symptoms of users and suggest them with best cure/measures.
2) How interesting or engaging can you make lifestyle tracking including their food, sleep, mood. How in future it can be auto tracked.
3) Prediction for chronic diseases and measures to live a healthy lifestyle if someone has them, using technology.
4) Capture and analyze family health history to predict and suggest measures for diseases / health condition.
5) Using IOT with medical devices, ease the healthcare checkup, analysis, reduce human intervention, bring accuracy.
